John knew that he had to keep the lawn in front of the library hydrated.

By all possible means.

To be totally honest, I didn’t hold high hopes for this paperback.
Picked it up from the shelf at lunchtime, not really knowing what to expect.

But WOW!

This is a page turner if I ever read one.

I just couldn’t put it down.

Rob really knows how to hold his readership in the palm of his hand, and take it on a journey of self discovery.

I drank in his every word.

I read somewhere that there is a sequel. I hope that’s it not just a rumour.
I have to have it. I can’t wait.

I want to read it NOW!

alvin and the shaggin chipmonks, are Happy Meals really laced with cocaine?, art, drop down to your knees with your hands over your head menu, funny, humour, I'd be tempted to admitting to being superstitious but I prefer not to say it aloud, ireland

The name is O’Banna.

From Dun Laoghaire with Love

Between the low-hanging fruits nonsense in the morning and absence of turn-key solutions in the afternoon, I relish my running away from the Mistake Factory at lunchtime to come and read large format art books, when I am not staring dreamily at the bay.

I’m not sure if I have mentioned that we have a new library in Dun Laoghaire.
I’m not sure if I have mentioned how much I love it.

With no Mistake Factory to head back to in 20 minutes’ time.

How I envy him.

How I wish I could fast-forward to being retired and 65 68 70 72 75 dead.

Shite. Let’s face it. I will never get a chance to retire.
I’d better savour my 20 minutes in the library now.

Carpe hora!

Fragile…

… that always threatened work/life balance.

Thankfully there is an oasis of peace, and tranquillity, and concrete, and wood, and books, and archives.

Within walking distance.

If you make the conscious effort to tear yourself away from the LCD screen.

To take a break.

Carlos and I spent a good 15 minutes flicking through the pages of a superb book on libraries.
I especially enjoy the last 50 pages, the “future”.
I half expected to find our library therein.

In the next edition surely.

And then we had a great laugh thanks to a hilarious interior design book.
Tsk, the mega rich… So rich… Yet so easily influenced.
So manipulated.
So common.
Tsk.
