Cultural visit to Ireland

There was a bit of culture.

IMG_0998

Some very convincingly feigned interest

IMG_1003

Even a short encounter with a local poet and photographer (but he kind of hinted at being sort of busy)

IMG_1000But there is only so much delaying of gratification that can be achieved (“a tantric” pub crawl as Gary called it).

Pints had to be consumed.

Hungrily.

IMG_1009

Bit of tactical food too. And red wine. For variety.

IMG_1013

IMG_1016

“Gary, I think there is a guy trying to sniff your head, through the fish tank”

IMG_1017

Bit more wine. In preparation for an afternoon of serious pintage.

IMG_1019

Quick photo for the cover of the upcoming album.

IMG_1022

And finally, the serious pintage.

Insto feeling a touch protective there.

IMG_1030

These six are mine, the rest of yize can fokoff.

IMG_1036

Trademark middle finger

IMG_1040

Good spirited conversation, monitoring the three spirit levels

IMG_1043

Paddy in the doorway.

IMG_1045

Another six for Insto (hence the rare smile).

IMG_1049

More fresh pints on vintage formica.

IMG_1052

All swell in the man-cave.

IMG_1055

Brian has landed!

IMG_1067

Jessie

IMG_1069

“You touchin’ ma camera, punk?”

IMG_1075

Bromance in the man-cave.

IMG_1077

IMG_1079

Match made in heaven.

IMG_1085

More pintage.

IMG_1095

Getting on like a house on fire. IMG_1109

Tactical fish and chips (thanks O’Loughlin’s staff for bending the rules there…)

IMG_1117

Three wise men.

IMG_1131

IMG_1135

More and more camera blur as the evening progresses.

IMG_1139

IMG_1144

IMG_1147

IMG_1148

More pintage.

Blipfoto.com

IMG_1155

All still going remarkably well in the man-cave of happy pish-talking.

IMG_1158

IMG_1160

Contemplative suction by a master of the art.

IMG_1166

IMG_1167

IMG_1172

IMG_1174

Tactical walk in the fresh air.

IMG_1176

Insto off to catch the last Dart to Killester. More camera blur.

IMG_1198

After all that fresh air, more pintage is on the cards.

IMG_1199

Pensioner still yapping away. Jason half-listening, in a state of fascinated horror.

IMG_1202

Gary without the middle finger.

IMG_1212

Ha! That’s more like him.

IMG_1217

Jim. Regal even in urination. IMG_1223

Sunglasses? In Ireland? Come on…

IMG_1228

The end of the bromance. Giving me the eye for the last time.

IMG_1232

The cover of that difficult second album.

IMG_1234

Thanks lads for a great Saturday (and a bit of a fart-filled Sunday in a cramped Dacia, with a mix of cool tunes blending seamlessly into one another).

    • We did hit the pause button on a number of occasions, during that day otherwise filled with merriment, and reflected on how you would have loved to dip your Adonis’ lips into a creamy head.
The words ‘git’, ‘sad’, ‘misled’ and ‘poor bollix’ never passed our lips.

  1. I looked through this, feeling jealous and wishing I’d been there. Then I realised that I was. How awesome is that? It was a middle-aged-man-pishtalking-Guinness-supping-fresh-cod-noshing-dream of a day. One to remember and speak of in awed tones, I can’t help feeling.
