The paradoxically exciting main feature of the day was its total lack of excitement.
No panic buttons pressed, no raised voices, no emails marked “extremely urgent”, no escalations, no back-stabbing, no front-stabbing, no side-stabbing.
Give me boredom over stress. Any time!
Long gone are the adrenaline-junkie days.
White-water rafting, my fluffy (wet) arse.
Sky-diving, yeah roight.
Stage diving at an Iggy Pop concert, no thanks mate.
Give me 8 hours’ sleep. A commute with a seat and no delays. A quiet day at work. A hot meal in the evening.
I’m buzzing.
I’ve got the apathy rush!
